Frequently Asked Kid Questions

You can do everything at Brookside!

One of the first nights they have a hayride just for kids. All the kids get on a hay wagon and they pull it with a tractor. You ride for a while and then stop at a place where there's a campfire and games. You learn funny songs and toast marshmallows.

Mini Golf Course

Brookside put in a brand new mini-golf course in 2000. The best part is that you can play it any time you want to, and it doesn't even cost anything!

This new one has some tricky holes, but by the end of the week it won't seem so hard.

Your Mom and Dad will like to go up to the real golf course. Brookside has their own course right at the Resort. It's a great place for kids to learn, too. It's usually not real busy, so whole families can golf together.

Fun on the Water

The beach at Brookside is really fun. There's a swimming area inside the main dock, but its good beach in more places, too.

There's a ton of stuff to do at the beach. They have inner tubes, paddle boats, hydro bikes, kayaks, fun bugs, canoes and sailboats.

You can use them for free anytime you want as long as you put them back when you're done.

Bingo - Not just for Grandpa's and Grandma's

Needless to say, Bingo is my favorite game!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays families gather on the deck for big cash prizes - or at least some quarters for the rec. room. You'll learn about postage stamps, blackouts, and 4-corners Bingo.

Is Bingo an adventure? - that depends on what unexpected troubles may appear on your evening of Bingo.

Fishing is great at Brookside

You can catch lots of fish right off of the docks. You get a boat with the cabin for free too, so it's easy to go way out on the lake with your parents.

There's even a river (brook) you can fish in at the resort.

On one day there is a special fishing contest for everyone (mostly kids). No matter what you catch you win a prize and get a Brookside Fishing Award.
